A pharmacist at Accra central market also comments on the sales of the menstrual cups, she claimed, “the menstrual cups did not use to sell before because not a lot of people know about it and also, it’s quite expensive unlike the sanitary pads each everyday people will come to buy it and although it was not dear. I could prefer selling 20 pads, each for 15cedis a day to selling the menstrual cup, which was 350 cedis for one box, which never sold anyway.

However, some other sellers of the menstrual cup are happy about the fact that the menstrual cups are gradually becoming known, and they are making quite some good sales from it, one of them said, when she sells just one menstrual cup box which is 350gh cedis a day is a good sale for her because her profit is about almost 100gh cedis.
